Welcome to
Swakeleys House Bowls Club

The green and clubhouse at
40 The Avenue, Ickenham, Middlesex, UB10 8LD are set in the grounds of Swakeleys House, a grade 1 listed building.  You will not find a more beautiful setting for a bowls club anywhere.

We are a mixed bowls club, competing in the Chiltern and Thames League and enjoying a full fixture list as well as hard fought and hard won internal competitions.

The Club has weekly organised roll ups, as well as Internal Competitions, which are strongly supported.  You don't need to book a place in a roll-up match just turn up on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon a litle before the 1.30pm start time, and you're sure to get a game.

At the end of May there is an Annual  Bowls Tour - a week's holiday with afternoon match fixtures with clubs from the chosen destination area.

Our activities are not restricted to the green as the clubhouse bar is well used before and after games.  The Social Secretary ensures that we stay in contact with each other during the winter through a variety of social events and activities.  There are weekly whist drives and carpet bowls nights, and a monthly financial investment club and a computer club.  The overall aim is for members to enjoy bowling and all social activities in a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere.

If you would like to join our club, why not come along and try us out before signing-up. Membership fees for a whole year in
2012 are: full £75, Mid-week £40;  Social £20.  We have two coaches to advise and help you. For more information, please contact our Club Captain Doreen Burchett on 01895 636 754
